Ten years feels like a pretty special milestone. When we started thinking about how to celebrate, we quickly realised we didn’t want it to be all about us.
Forty Thieves has only made it this far because of the incredible community that’s supported us along the way. Our customers, retailers, suppliers, growers, partners and everyone who’s believed in what we’re building. We wanted to find a way to say thank you. That’s why we’re bringing back Scorched Almond.
Why Scorched Almond?
For co-founder Shyr, Scorched Almonds have always meant more than just chocolate. Growing up, a box of Scorched Almonds was the gift you’d give to someone you appreciated. They’d arrive from friends or colleagues, or be wrapped up at the end of the school year for a favourite teacher. It was a simple, thoughtful way of saying, “Thanks.”
That memory became the inspiration for one of our most-loved limited releases. Our Scorched Almond nut butter is made with just two ingredients: dark-roasted almonds and dark chocolate. It captures everything people love about the classic Kiwi treat, reimagined the Forty Thieves way. Simple ingredients. Big flavour. Nothing unnecessary.
A Birthday Thank You
Bringing Scorched Almond back for our 10th birthday felt like the right way to celebrate. Not because we’re looking backwards, but because milestones are a chance to appreciate the people who helped you get there.
