Last weekend, Forty Thieves owners Brent and Shyr packed their bags (along with plenty of peanut butter!) and headed to Waiheke Island, for the 11th Foodie Friends Getaway. Each year, Tesh from Raglan Coconut Yoghurt brings together food founders from across Aotearoa to connect, recharge and celebrate the foodie community. This year’s getaway took place at the stunning AllPress Olive Groves on Waiheke Island, the perfect backdrop for a weekend of good food and great company!
The weekend was filled with delicious meals, great conversations and plenty of fun. Highlights included a private tour and tasting at AllPress Olive Groves, a wander through the Waiheke markets, and a shared potluck feast where each founder contributed their own dish. Brent and Shyr served up a delicious chickpea korma curry made with their award-winning Cashew Korma Curry Paste!
Before heading back home, everyone took part in a product swap, trading nut butters, yoghurts, oils and plenty of other delicious products. Everyone was well-stocked with treats to take home! A huge thank you to Tesh for hosting such a special gathering and to all the incredible foodie friends who made the getaway unforgettable.
